The potential of irradiated inoculants consortium for zinc accumulation in rice mutant lines

Abstract Some of the microorganisms in soil play important roles plant performance by improving mineral nutrition. Zinc (Zn) is an essential micronutrient that has various functions and only obtained intake foods. Rice a staple food for Indonesian people. Increasing Zn concentration rice through fertilization gamma irradiated inoculants consortium effective way to accumulate grains. The objective this research was utilize gamma-irradiated enhancement content mutant lines. This study used from potential consisting Aspergillus niger, Azotobacter sp, Bacillus circulants , Trichoderma harzianum . They can be solubilize metals or minerals are accumulated part plants. irradiation inoculant conducted 250 Gy rays. Seven Mira-1 lines together with their wild type, Inpari Nutri variety, were used. Treatment combinations, i.e., Control, T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 applied materials randomized block experimental design three replications. Agronomic characteristics at vegetative phase observed grain measured atomic absorption spectrophotometry. result shows significant differences agronomic different treatments. higher than very enhancing best treatment accumulation combined 10 kg/ha zinc sulfate (treatment T4), resulting 72.19 ppm 82 line.
